I love zip-lining new and beautiful locations while traveling — the amazing scenery, adrenaline rush, blast of air in the face, and if you have a GoPro the awesome footage. I however do not have a GoPro, at least not yet. But I’m getting off-topic.
Since this week’s FriFotos theme is EDGES I figured I would share with you a photo from a press trip I went on with several friends and fellow bloggers back in 2012.
We went to the gorgeous Hocking Hills region of Ohio but unfortunately it was the day after Hurricane Sandy had rolled through the area and stripped the trees of all their colorful fall leaves. This was a bit of a disappointment for us, as we were not able to see the vibrant fall foliage the region is known for, but the rest of the trip was still a lot of fun.

Commenting on the wrong article and I’d help you if I could…but all my advice was in the Summer Jobs In The California Cannabis Fields posts. And as I stated there I cannot divulge any of my direct contacts without getting myself blacklisted. They don’t even know that I wrote that post :O
I saw your guest post on Travel with Bender. I’m from the same state. My first trip to Asia was when I was 23 (I think), and it ruined my life. I’ve never been happy in the west. *cheers*
Hey Lana, thanks for stopping by. Glad you liked the interview and yes, I’m definitely the same way — the west just doesn’t do it for me anymore. After first traveling through Asia in 2008-10 (long before I started blogging) I went back and traveled all through Canada and 48 of the 50 US states before heading down to Mexico then on through Central America. However the whole time I couldn’t shake Asia from my mind so after returning “home” briefly to sell all of my possessions I bought a one-way ticket to Jakarta and have been country-hopping back and forth through Asia ever since.
Sometimes I wish I could have been born here but then I know that if that had happened then this corner would not have anywhere near the same appeal to me as it currently does. Guess the grass is always greener on the other side, no? 🙂
Hope you are able to make it back to Asia sometime soon. Out of curiosity, what was your favorite country here?
Wasn’t he great? Come back and write for us again Derek! 😀
Ziplining huh? At the moment, even if I can try it for free, I will think hundreds time before trying it. Hahahaaaha
