Phoenix is a beautiful city and every year more and more color street art murals can be found all over town. From Roosevelt Row Arts District (affectionately known as “RoRo”) to Calle 16 and Grand Avenue, Phoenix has become such a hotbed of artwork that it is impossible to see everything in one trip. (And when you grow tired of the street art, ideas for additional Arizona adventures are included after the photos.)

Not all the great Phoenix artwork is confined to exterior walls. At 285,000 square feet the Phoenix Art Museum is the largest visual art museum in the United States.

More Arizona Adventures
Don’t let the city dominate your time here. Arizona is easily one of the top 5 most beautiful US states. Stunning scenery and countless outdoor adventures are lurking around every corner, however one of the most unique is undoubtedly the Petrified Forest National Park — one of only two national parks in Arizona and the most famous petrified forest in the entire world. Over 600,000 people visit here every year!
Petrified Forest National Park is unbelievable. Fossilized trees here are over 200 million years old and the entire park spans an impressive 230 square miles (600 square kilometers), including part of the Painted Deserted — yet another example of how gorgeous Arizona is. Located about four hours from Phoenix, this definitely is no mere day-trip but a separate adventure. Plan to stay a night or two nearby and soak up as much of the scenery as possible 😉
